Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani - story

Ranbir plays Prem the melancholy lover-boy hopelessly in love with the idea of being in love. His character goes through a series of life-changing experiences.The character was immortalized by Raj Kapoor in Mera Naam Joker and before him, Chaplin in City Lights.The film is based on Dr Asghar Wajahat's novel Jis Lahore Nahin Dekhiya, O Jamian He Nahin. It is set against the backdrop of the Partition, the story has a strong message of peaceful co-existence and has already been adapted into a successful play.Salman Khan in a cameo plays himself in the film.
